At Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa, every day is an adventure! Join us this summer for an exciting series of outdoor programs sponsored by McKinney Roughs Nature Park. Whether you prefer to stroll peacefully through nature or zip through it at full speed, our summer activity schedule offers something for everyone.
Rock Climbing and Zip Line
A great activity for adventurous types. McKinney Roughs Nature Park has a 40-foot climbing tower that gives the participant an opportunity to experience rock climbing and finish with an exciting run on the zip line. McKinney Roughs Challenge Course facilities and staff meet all Association for Challenge Course Technology Standards. All participants must complete a waiver form for this activity. Minors need to have their form signed by a legal parent or guardian & must be seven or older. Children ages 7 to 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Closed toe shoes are required.
Lost & Found with GPS
Use the latest technology of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) to navigate your way in the great outdoors! Individuals or couples can team up as they navigate through a pre-determined course at the resort, stopping along the way at different activity stations. Each station contains a new challenge, some physical and some mental. Participants gain an understanding of how to use the GPS unit, discover facts about the natural world, and have fun! Length: approximately 2 hours. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Things to bring: hat, sunscreen, water bottle and snacks.
